The CZ 712 G2 shotgun is excellent. You’ll love everything about it, especially if you get the Green version. The look and finish, the way it comes up and points, the feel as it shoots–it’s all terrific. Even CZ-USA’s customer service is top notch.

CZ 712 G2 Shotgun – Best Budget Semi-Auto Hunting Shotgun Tested – Review (videos)
Published: March 4, 2019 Updated: August 3, 2024Radian Model 1 – Ambi Magic
Published: March 3, 2019 Updated: March 3, 2019While I have used a lot of different AR pattern rifles, the Radian Model 1 with their ADAC system stands out to me. I first saw it during Triggrcon 2018 in Bellevue, Washington. And to be honest, it blew my mind. I was asking myself how I never had seen this till now, since apparently it was first introduced around 2010, under the name AXTS.
The Glamorous Life and Gory Death of the Father of Sin City Bugsy Siegel, the M1 Carbine, and Murder Inc.
Published: February 28, 2019 Updated: February 28, 2019What particular attributes did it take to attain the pinnacle of success in organized crime back in its heyday? Some were charming, quite a few connected, and others were ruthless. Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, however, was simply a cold-blooded killer.
A Covert Gun for the 21st Century: The Cell Phone Pistol from Ideal Conceal (Full Review + Video)
Published: February 28, 2019 Updated: February 28, 2019From pen guns to umbrella guns to this insane briefcase gun from H&K, manufacturers have been finding creative ways to conceal firearms for decades. The Cell Phone Pistol (IC380) from Ideal Conceal is the latest iteration in that legacy.
While it wouldn’t be an ideal primary carry gun, the IC380 could perform well in a backup role or in those situations where a traditional EDC handgun would be impractical or inadvisable. It’s also a unique piece to add to your collection, something sure to garner attention at the range or among your gun-collecting friends.
Henry .327 Big Boy Carbine Review

A Seven Shooter: Ruger .327 Single-Seven Review
Published: February 23, 2019 Updated: February 23, 2019The Ruger Single-Six Revolver has been around since 1953. Since then, there have been a multitude of different models of this handy small-framed single action. It was on a Ruger Single-Six 22 that I first learned how to shoot a handgun and I suspect that is the case for a lot of people. A couple of years ago Ruger came out with a special model of this wheel gun as an exclusive for one of their distributors. This version is called the Single-Seven and it is chambered in .327 Federal Magnum.

Bergara’s B-14 Ridge Rifle – Production-Priced Guns with Custom Quality Barrels
Published: February 17, 2019 Updated: February 17, 2019Spanish steel. For those with more than a passing acquaintance with history, those words conjure up images of flashing swords, booming muskets and roaring cannons from an era of exploration, conquest, and piracy. For today’s shooters and hunters, those words are more likely to call to mind a brand that takes its name, Bergara, from a town in the gun-making Basque Country in the north of Spain.
Review: The Taurus G2c. Accurate and Functional—And Packing .40 S&W Power–for Under $300
Published: February 17, 2019 Updated: February 17, 2019“The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Okay, so the quote is actually (and incorrectly) attributed to Mark Twain, author of Huck Finn and many other novels. But it could as easily apply to the .40 Smith and Wesson as a self-defense caliber since reports of the caliber’s death were breathlessly hyped a couple years ago when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced it was switching its duty sidearms from the .40 S&W to 9mm.

Winchester Wildcat 22 – SHOT Show 2019
Published: January 27, 2019 Updated: January 27, 2019I’m currently in love with an old Winchester Model 69A .22 and maybe that’s given me a soft spot for Winchester plinksters. Nevertheless, of all the guns I saw at SHOT show, the is probably the one that I’m most looking forward to getting my hands on. It’s lightweight, it’s got useful new features and [...]
Clay’s Budget Blades Ep. 5: The Cold Steel Rajah II (A Virtual Pocket Sword)
Published: January 24, 2019 Updated: January 24, 2019As a defensive tool, the size plays a factor. While I don’t think this is for everyone, it would be the weapon of choice if you had to use a folder in a life or death situation. It has a size and a reach that is well outside anything else in its class.
