Last week a Florida sheriff issued a stern warning to looters, vandals, and rioters looking to prey upon residents in Polk County.

Well Mayor Lightfoot, it turns out the criminals that don’t follow your gun control laws don’t care that you’re trying extra hard to enforce them either.

Earlier this week House and Senate Democrats came together to unveil “The Justice in Police Act of 2020,” a sweeping law enforcement reform bill aimed at reducing police brutality and violence against citizens, particularly those in minority communities.

The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund announced Tuesday who it is backing for U.S. Senate in 2020.

“Obviously we’re aware of the fact that Illinois is a concealed carry state,” Lightfoot explained. “Do not take matters into your own hands. Call the police.

In an effort to do so they’ve hatched a new #8CantWait campaign, which highlights 8 policies that they claim can reduce police violence by as much as 72 percent.

“They were here to take advantage of the opportunity of police not being able to be dispatched and address the normal crime,” explained Hinsdale.

“Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ’em with a knife or something to shoot ’em in the leg instead of the heart is a very different thing,” explained Biden.

“It turns out these guys are out here with machetes and shattered windows trying to keep looters out of the businesses ’cause cops can’t get in here,” said one of the men to MNReformer reporter Max Nesterak.
