Harrowing bodycam footage released this week by the Houston Police Department depicts a suspect shooting at officers with what local media are calling a “mini machine-gun.”

The New Hampshire-based manufacturer sent out a press release this week explaining the decision.

“If you’re breaking into someone’s home in the middle of the night, if you don’t get shot or killed you should feel fortunate.”

Two federal lawmakers from Illinois introduced legislation last week aimed at ratcheting up federal mandates for gun dealers.

“I’ve seen great courage when my life was on the line,” said Gifford. “Now is the time to come together, be responsible, Democrats, Republicans, everyone.”

In an opinion piece published this week, the paper’s gatekeepers argued that amidst a historic jump in murders last year, “it’s time to act on guns.” 

Put another way, if we don’t care about the lack of diversity in professional sports, why should we obsess over the reported lack of diversity in SOCOM?

The law effectively nullifies for most New Yorkers what the Supreme Court has already characterized as “the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation.”

Obama indicated that the lack of gun control on the national level is partly to blame, saying that Congress needs to enact “common-sense gun safety measures.”
