GunsAmerica NRA Show 2012 Giveaway - Walther, Kel-Tec, SlideFire, Leatherwood

GunsAmerica NRA Show 2012 Giveaway – Walther, Kel-Tec, SlideFire, Leatherwood

{ 54 comments }

The NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits is this weekend in St. Louis. It starts today, April 12th, and goes through the weekend. If you are an NRA member you can go to the show for free. If you aren’t an NRA member, please consider JOINING NRA now. No matter what candidate gets in this year at this point we are going to have a tough 4 years ahead and NRA is the only organization that consistently is watching the ship.

As is our custom, we are doing a big giveaway for the weekend. This is our biggest yet actually. Because of the issues with spam filters and a ridiculous delay on all of our communications by AOL, Yahoo and many cable internet providers, we have to do the announcements for the giveaway through Facebook. As with all of our Facebook giveaways, you don’t have to be a member of Facebook to get the codes. It just makes it easier. The codes will be posted to our public Facebook page throughout the show. The process is the same as the others. We will post a code and you use standard email to send it to [email protected] (not case sensitive) to enter.

GunStock - 3 Day Event - Gun Club of America

GunStock – 3 Day Event – Gun Club of America

{ 2 comments }

If you are serious about guns and learning how they work inside, the Gun Club of America (GCA) may be something you should consider. It is run by the American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), and for three days in June, the 15th to the 17th, they are going to have their first “GunStock” event ever in Fallon, Nevada. It is a chance for students to meet the instructors that appear in the AGI videos, and learn about a bunch of new subjects. Most importantly, you get to shoot OPG and OPA, “other people’s guns,” and “other people’s ammo.” For members of the GCA the rates for the event are discounted through April 25th, and besides being a great learning experience and a lot of fun, part of the proceeds will be donated to a veterans charity called The Pathway Home.

Eric Holder Racist Anti-Gun Rant Victimizes Minorities - Editorial

Eric Holder Racist Anti-Gun Rant Victimizes Minorities – Editorial

Isn’t it time to detach the 2nd Amendment from politics? Having the freedom to defend yourself is a fundamental right. Don’t we all agree on that? Who wants to see innocent law abiding Americans live life in fear of crime because the government has taken away their fundamental right to defend themselves? The political climate is perfect right now for politicians to stand up for 2nd Amendment rights for all Americans. Nobody is buying the anti-gun spin and lies anymore. It is time for a real change.
You may have heard news about a new video that has surfaced of Attorney General Eric Holder plotting to change the way people think about guns. Most of the gun news website have been buzzing about it this week, but so far I have yet to find anyone who doesn’t totally miss the point. It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Eric Holder is part of the liberal anti-2nd Amendment machine, and that he is just one more of President Obama’s appointees that are completely out of touch with mainstream America. If you actually watch the video though. It will show you how black leaders have become racist, and that black leaders like Eric Holder just plain old don’t trust law abiding black people with guns. Black leaders have created a subculture of disarming victims in the black community, and this has got to stop.

US Infantry Silver Dollar – National Infantry Museum & Soldier Center

The old saying that “it’ll take an act of congress to get this done” sometimes actually works out. The 2008 110th US Congress approved a special silver dollar to be minted commemorating the US Infantry, and this weekend it finally came out. Now through March 19 they are $5 off the list price of $54.95 for proof coins, and $49.95 for uncirculated coins. They will only be minted in 2012, and the US Mint is authorized to make up to 350,000 of them, at the mint in West Point, NY. According to the downloadable PUBLIC LAW 110–357—OCT. 8, 2008, they are 90% silver and 10% copper.

5 Days of SureFire – Win XD(M) Compact .45ACP and SureFire X-300 Weapon Light

{ 200 comments }

As promised, leading up to SHOT Show 2012 we have several Facebook giveaways from several major companies in our industry. SureFire, maker of weapon lights, tactical accessories and some exciting new extreme capacity magazines has put this newest giveaway together with us and Springfield Armory to give away two (2) of the new XD(M) 3.8 Compact .45ACP pistols and two (2) SureFire X-300 weapon lights. All you need to do is add SureFire as a friend on Facebook and watch your news feed for special codes that SureFire will post to their wall. When you see the code, email it to [email protected] and you will be entered. Two random winners per day will be selected and notified. Please see the full terms and conditions for more.

If you are not a Facebook member and you have no interest in Facebook, you can still enter this giveaway by monitoring the public SureFire Facebook page and emailing the code just like anyone else. Being a Facebook member merely gives you an easy way to get the code, right in your news feed, and by adding SureFire you will learn about other things coming up from them, including surprise giveaways during SHOT Show week. Please note that neither GunsAmerica nor SureFire have any stake in Facebook and we do not encourage or discourage its use. Facebook has been very 2nd Amendment-friendly and has even removed restrictions on firearms for contests like these that had been put in by their lawyers. If Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest in the world, larger than the US. We see Facebook as a fantastic outreach vehicle for the next generation of voters and salute their 2nd Amendment-friendly policies.

GunsAmerica Endorses USPS As Exclusive Form of Non-Credit Card Payment

{ 159 comments }

GunsAmerica is instituting a new policy effective immediately that all payments to GunsAmerica sellers must be made either with a credit card, to a gun dealer, or you must use a United States Postal Service Money Order, or Orders, mailed via USPS, to the seller. It does not matter if this is an old seller or a new seller, someone whose account you have seen here for years or not. Always use USPS Money Orders mailed via USPS.

Find a USPS Inspector Office Near You! (new window)
File a Mail Fraud Complaint Online

Internet scammers fear the United States Postal Service Inspectors. They will specifically ask you to Fedex or UPS the bank issued cashier’s check to them. This method of payment is unsafe and can cost you the hard earned money you thought you were sending to a legitimate seller. Likewise any sort of bank transfer or Western Union. It is all trouble. The only law enforcement body who will stand up for you across the entire United States are the United States Postal Service Inspectors. If you use USPS money orders and mail them USPS, you generate what they call a “nexus” and if, G-d forbid, you are scammed online, they will respond to your complaint.

Don’t Miss Brownells Grand Opening Ammo Special

{ 11 comments }

In case you missed it (it is only at the top of every page on the website right now), Brownells has just begun selling ammunition for the first time in their 70 year history.  As part of the Grand Opening they are offering a 5% discount on the entire order (use the code CXL) and free shipping for orders over $199 that contain ammo. This deal is, however, subject to change each week.
For the tens of thousands of gunsmiths, gun shops, and avid shooters that use Brownells almost daily, this has been a big request for quite some time. When you order regularly from a place and are used to bulking up orders to combine shipping, being able to add a few boxes of ammo can save you money over time, especially if you can’t get what you are looking for from your local gun shop or big box store.
There is also an extremely functional ammo selector on the website. It is called the “Ammo Adviser Tool.” The problem with keyword searches is you get a lot of stuff you don’t need.  The Ammo Adviser   is meant to save you the hassle of wading through search results when all you want is to find a box of ammo.  I used it to find some .30-06 Hornady under “hunting” and it worked like a charm.
