A 60-year-old Chicago concealed carrier shot and killed a would-be armed robber last week in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

The Concealed Carry License Holder visited an ATM near his home last Friday. It was around 5:30 a.m. when a man approached him with a gun.

According to a news report from CBS Chicago, the armed man demanded the 60-year-old man give him his property.

The 60-year-old man pulled his own weapon and shots were fired. The victim ran to a gas station and according to CBS, video footage shows him asking for help. This was where he waited for paramedics to arrive.

According to ABC7, the 60-year-old victim is a “valid FOID card and CCL holder.” Both the victim and the robber were shot in the gunfire.
