WATCH: Concealed-Carrying Waitress Stops Sucker-Punching Attacker

in Current Events, Defensive Use of Firearms, This Week

Recently released footage shows a quick-thinking, concealed-carrying waitress in Wisconsin coming to the defense of a co-worker who was being attacked by an irate customer.

Around 1 a.m. on Friday, June 29, a patron at the George Webb restaurant in Milwaukee walked behind the counter and sucker-punched a woman preparing food. Reports indicate that the man was angry because his meal was taking too long.

Right after he struck the victim, the waitress who was also behind the counter drew her gun and pointed it at the perpetrator. This stopped the man dead in his tracks and allowed the victim to seek cover behind the waitress.

The man, who locals say is a drug dealer, then left the restaurant.  Police say they know the man’s identity and are currently looking for him.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan said that this incident should be a wake-up call for the community.

“People need to see this,” Donovan told news affiliate TMJ 4. “It’s shocking. But this is what’s happening in some parts of our city. This comes amid a spike in crime in my district. If we don’t start paying attention to neighborhoods that are on the fence, they’re going to fall on the wrong side of the fence.”

Donovan went on to say that it’s telling that the employees at the restaurant feel as though they need to carry guns to work to feel safe.

“It’s so frustrating to me as an elected official that the other waitress felt it so important that she arm herself to come and work in my aldermanic district,” Donovan said. “Yet, I thank God she was armed. Otherwise, I shudder to think what may have happened to those two women.”

The owner of the restaurant allows his staff to carry at work so long as they have a license.  However, following the altercation, the waitress opted to resign.

“We were alerted to an incident that took place at our Mitchell Street location on June 29 and are working directly with the injured employee, store manager and franchise owner to review the events,” said a spokesman from the George Webb restaurant in a statement.

“The safety and security of our employees and patrons is our top priority,” it continued.  “We are working with our team, and local law enforcement to assess current security measures and determine next steps.”

I agree that she should have shot the scumbag! He attacked he co-worker and could have easily came after her. Get rid of these thugs one by one and shoot!’n

  • G.O.A. Patriot July 28, 2018, 12:44 pm

Only thing I can see wrong with this is why didn’t she shoot him in the head on the spot?

  • Kyle July 14, 2018, 10:25 pm

Sucker punching a woman? Well I guess he probably has a reputation to uphold, after all.

  • Leonard July 13, 2018, 3:52 pm

It is a shame she did nothing further than stop the attack. The man was a known drug dealer and that town would have been a bit safer had he died. She resigned from her job, and I can see why. She would be a target and this guy would not forget her. She is smart, and possibly alive because she was armed, but I was taught that when you pull a gun, it is to be used as effectively as possible. Doing less than needed means the situation will come back to bite you. Now she will have to go to court several times, and the guy will be let off for simple assault, while had she not stopped him, his beating would have continued to escalate. He might have killed the waitress he sucker punched. Why take chances? Eventually, he will be back in society and never contribute anything good to it.

You know, shooting someone is not easy to forget. Even though she was armed, what would her life be like if she had pulled the trigger and killed a human being. Making a decision to kill someone, the knowledge of it could haunt her for more years than her just stopping the assault. I carry a pistol, but Thanks to my Lord, I have not had to shoot and kill someone.Taking another life puts a heavy burden on a person.
Even a police officer is allowed to take a few days off to get his head on straight after a shooting incident.

        Well said, Roger!

        • Chuck August 16, 2019, 5:48 am

My apologies for misspelling your name, Rodger!

      • Stuart November 29, 2019, 3:36 pm

To the contrary, “Killing a human being” was not an opportunity that presented itself in this particular circumstance. As the only “human beings” in the kitchen at the time this occurred were the two women.

The cowardly “POS” warranted numerous rounds to its worthless cranium immediately subsequent to sucker punching an innocent, defenseless woman.

She would have been doing all of humanity a considerable favor by promptly dispatching that worthless POS, regardless of any potential memories.

Rane? and others? Blaming the victim? I bet you guys beat your wives, or keep them “in line” with threats of beatings.

Hopefully the next time that thug, dealer or not, faces somebody with a gun, the gun carrier will terminally perforate vital organs in his ghetto-shit carcass.

  • Rane July 13, 2018, 9:48 am

For that guy to just walk back and sock that girl in the face leads me to believe there is much more to the story than we know. I’m glad the other employee was strapped, but it seems this was a targeted attack. Knowing the attacker is a known drug dealer in the area makes me think the receiver of the fist may have wronged him in some way and he was there for payback/payment. Just call’n it how I see it. It is a kitchen after all. Many restaurant kitchen staff members are no strangers to narcotics. I could be completely wrong on this, but I doubt that dude was trying to rob a kitchen. Not a lot of money back there.

    • MrKnowItAll July 13, 2018, 2:48 pm

Why are you going out in left field about it being some fault of the victim? The guy committed a violent attack on a defenseless woman, and you’re speculating about her being a drug user, and inferring that it was her own fault? That asshole should have been shot, and the woman with the gun should be given a medal. This is a perfect example of why we have the second amendment, and why more law-abiding citizens should be allowed to carry a weapon (with proper training, of course), in order to protect themselves and other law-abiding citizens, from piece of shit scum like this prick!

    • Mat BAsterson July 16, 2018, 4:30 pm

Rane your a complete dumbass with no sense of reasoning. Blaming the victim. Are you a lib defense attorney by trade? A typical millennial I would wager.

If this piece of shit tried this move in my neighborhood (Florida) they would have sent the meat wagon to pick up his sorry thug ass after the coroner got through with him. All she had to do is start firing and claim she was in fear of her and her co- workers life. End of discussion. No paying scum defense attorneys, no supporting his sorry ass in jail and feeding him. done Chances are really good one of the other patrons would have done it for her in my town. And local law enforcement would have backed them.
These type are just taking in air some decent folks could be breathing.

    • Danny August 17, 2019, 2:44 pm

Rane, I cannot believe you are are going to make assumptions about the victim. The article stated that he was upset because it was taking too long to get his food. He punches a woman. The only thing coming out of your mouth should be praise for the other employee being armed and stepping in to stop him.

  • Chris July 13, 2018, 9:19 am

She should have made sure the camera was turned away, or scrubbed right away afterwards. And shot his ass to pieces, reloaded, and shot the pieces to littler pieces.

  • Willy July 13, 2018, 8:15 am

Oh yeah, that loser was not such a bad ass when the pistol came out. You see him walking away, trying to save face for himself with his excuses, when he thought he would have his way with those women. I would have loved to hear what he was saying. Good for the employee who is exercising her 2A rights.

  • John July 13, 2018, 8:12 am

That what happens when we keep importing people. Send him back to his shit hole country.

    • Vernon July 13, 2018, 11:18 am

We’ll see this piece of shit again in the news.
      Hopefully in the obituaries!
Thank God this young lady is on the good side.
      Amen.

    • Leighton Cavendish July 17, 2018, 5:20 pm

He is most likely a native born AA.

  • Nick July 13, 2018, 7:58 am

She should have blown him away and saved the city/county the expense of prosecution/ incarceration of the attacker. It would be a clear case of self-defense and I think this guy will eventually commit other criminal acts if he is not stopped.

  • Steve comten July 13, 2018, 4:56 am

It looks like there was something up between the puncher and punchee that the CCW’r expected…

    • dirtsailor67 July 13, 2018, 6:35 am

      Try rereading the article,dumbass.
The diner is in a rough part of town that is getting worse. The waitress was armed because she no longer felt safe in that area but couldn’t afford to quit her job.

    • Dave July 17, 2018, 10:04 am

According to the article: “Reports indicate that the man was angry because his meal was taking too long.”

  • Dilligaf July 9, 2018, 4:35 pm

You wont see this on the news because the anti-American libtarded tabloid media will not help demonize black thugs or glorify firearms

    • joefoam July 13, 2018, 9:31 am

What a shame stories never see the light of day in the MSM. It might change public opinion of gun ownership.

      • Luke July 13, 2018, 11:52 am

Joe – That’s why they don’t see the light of day. Lies and more lies from msm. And then, lies by omission. It’s disgusting to the point where I just don’t bother. The scary part is that there are enough illiterate Americans to elect the hillary clinton or somebody like her the next time around..
