The 590RM Chisel is Mossberg's most compact magazine-fed pump-action to date, built on the proven 590RM platform and developed in collaboration with Chisel Machining. Chambered in 12 gauge with a 2.75" chamber, this short-barreled shotgun packs a 10+1 capacity into a package purpose-built for close-quarters defensive and professional use.

At the core of the design is the first production double-stack detachable magazine for a pump-action shotgun — a significant engineering departure that delivers more capacity per inch than traditional tube-fed competitors. The lever-style magazine release and stabilizing ribs on the magazine ensure fast reloads and secure lockup, while hardened steel feed lips and a rounded follower keep feeding consistent under pressure.

The Chisel Machining folding stock mount allows the 8-position adjustable LOP stock (12.5"–16.0") to fold completely flat along the receiver, making the platform significantly more transportable without sacrificing a full shooting configuration when deployed. QD cups on both sides, plus a front QD cup on the mag cap, handle sling integration.

The ambidextrous rotary safety selector sits within natural thumb reach without breaking pistol grip, and the flat-profile trigger delivers a clean, consistent break. An 11.5" barrel with integrated one-piece heat shield manages heat and protects the shooter, while the top Picatinny rail runs the length of the receiver for red-dot or optic mounting. A Magpul MOE+ pistol grip and Accu-Choke compatibility, including suppressor threading, round out the feature set.

The FDE Cerakote polymer-ceramic receiver finish provides corrosion resistance and wear protection in harsh conditions, and the removable magazine floor plate simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
