Bolt-action hunting rifle in Savage's Axis XP family configured for the .22-250 Remington chambering. It ships with a 20" stainless steel sporter barrel and a tough black synthetic stock. The rifle uses a detachable 4-round box magazine and features Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger (adjustable ~2.5–6 lb). The Axis XP forend/receiver is factory-supplied with a mounted and boresighted 3-9x40mm Weaver scope (factory-mounted & boresighted on XP models). The action is a smooth bolt design with button-rifled barrels and threaded-in headspacing as specified for the AXIS/AXIS XP product family.
