Receiver, trigger guard and forend latching hardware are covered in extremely fine rose and scroll pattern engraving with a color case hardened finish. Both sidelocks and the bottom are engraved "J. Purdey & Sons". The very finest English walnut was used for the forend and the straight grip stock. The dark wood tones are accented by even darker swirls throughout. The gold inlaid oval in the stock is initialed "FAB Jr". Deep bordered, fine line checkering on the grip, forend and butt complete this beautifully done piece. This gun comes complete with an unusual burgundy colored, leather Purdey case with a full set of accessories.
