The coin finish action has been 100% covered with deep relief acanthus scroll engraving which surrounds masterfully engraved dangerous game scenes. The right side shown 2 cape buffalo bulls in high grass and the left side shown a charging large horn black rhino on the savannah. The bottom features a Bulino portrait of a bull elephant and the trigger guard has a male lion. The beautiful scroll work continues to the operating lever, the extra long top tang which extends over the comb, the lower tang which extends to the grip cap with trap and also the forearm latching hardware.
Intricately figured, firey flamed dense European walnut is used for BOTH stocks and the forearm. One stock has a cheekpiece for a RIGHT HAND shooter and the other stock has a cheekpiece for a LEFT HAND shooter. Both feature fluted dropper points and point pattern checkering with double line borders on the pistol grip. The perfectly matched, three piece forearm has checkering to match the grip and pivoting latch hardware.
The condition is near new with essentially all original finish on the metal and wood. There are two hairline cracks along the tang area as shown in photo # 17. The bores are bright & shiny and the action is, like new, tight. This fine gun is absolutely, incredibly beautiful and functions perfectly to stop a hard charging elephant or buffalo in their tracks.
