The Model 70 Alaskan is a bolt-action big-game rifle built on Winchester's pre-'64 style controlled round feed action with a Mauser-style claw extractor. This Alaskan configuration features a 25in cold-forged barrel, walnut Monte Carlo stock with cut checkering, and folding/adjustable rear sight on a barrel boss with a hooded gold-bead front sight. The rifle ships with a one-piece alloy bottom metal and an adjustable M.O.A. trigger system.
Chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum with a 3-round magazine capacity, the Model 70 Alaskan is finished in a blued metal with a Monte Carlo walnut stock and is drilled and tapped at the receiver top for scope bases.
