The Mossberg International 817 is a bolt-action rimfire chambered in .17 HMR with a blued 21" barrel and a 5-round detachable magazine (5+1 capacity). It ships with Weaver-style scope bases for easy optics mounting and a synthetic black stock featuring a stippled grip and forend with a vented rubber recoil pad for comfort.
At 40" overall length and weighing approximately 4.5 lb, the 817 is built for light, low-recoil shooting for small-game hunting, plinking, and competition. The rifle includes a fixed 14.25" length of pull and a 1:9" twist rate optimized for .17 HMR loads.
