The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter is a walnut-stocked bolt-action rifle built for hunting in modern short-action calibers. The Hunter features Grade I black walnut with diamond-point checkering and a low-gloss satin finish paired with a matte-blued sporter-weight barrel; the 6.8 Western factory chambering uses a 1:7.5" twist. The rifle ships with a detachable 3-round magazine and a top-tang safety.
Built on the X-Bolt 2 platform, the Hunter retains the X-Lock scope mounting system and the DLX user-adjustable multi-lever trigger (factory set ˜3.5 lb). The barreled action is finished to Browning standards (crowned barrel threads) and the test/configured examples list an overall length of 44in and unloaded weight around 6 lb 8 oz.
