BROWNING OLYMPIAN GRADE DOUBLE SIGNED MASTER ENGRAVED 30-06 CALIBER ... 22" Round Barrel ... LOA 42 1/2" ... LOP 13 1/2" ... DAH 1" ... DAC 1 1/2" ... Jeweled extractor ...Polished follower ... Polished bolt ... gold washed trigger ... master engraved ... double in 1961 in Belgium, this rifle features a blue barrel manufactured without sights and French satin grey finish on the remaining parts, aside from the follower and bolt which are polished with a jeweled extractor and the gold washed trigger.
The front receiver ring is engraved with a bugling elk on the left side signed "V WATRIN". A running pronghorn antelope on the right side of the front receiver ring is signed "V WATRIN". The remainder of the action is floral leaf and . The hinged floor plate engraved with a deer in a wooded scene with floral leaf engraving below and on the attaching metal and signed "V WATRIN" below the deer. The trigger guard is engraved with a bear with a floral leaf pattern above and below and signed "AD" below the bear. There is a two inch wedge of floral leaf engraving on the breech end of the barrel sides. The screw heads and stock bolts are also engraved with a leaf design.
The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and carving on the forearm and grip area, contrasting rosewood forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped gold inset on the grip cap, raised comb, cheekpiece, plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. Complete with a Browning hard case and original box numbered to the gun.
