Colt 1911 Government chambered in .38 Super with a 5 in National Match length barrel and a 9-round magazine capacity. This configuration is reported as a limited Lew Horton Gold Scroll engraved special edition of the Colt 1911 Government/Classic line. The model is built on Colt's 1911 Government/Classic platform and references the Series 70 firing system used in Colt's commercial 1911 offerings. The combination of .38 Super caliber, 5 in barrel and engraved limited-edition treatment positions this pistol for collectors while retaining the features suited to sport shooting and range use.
