Up for auction is a nearly new Taurus Model PT 92 in 9mm. This model of Taurus is, of course, a clone of the Beretta Model 92, which was chosen by the in 1985 as a replacement of the Browning 1911. Whether or not you agree with that decision, the fact remains that this design has been unquestionably proven around the world in all conditions. There are some minor differences between the Italian version and the Taurus, and some would say there are advantages to the Taurus: it has a 17-round capacity vs. a 15-round capacity in the has a frame mounted safety/decocker rather than a slide mounted safety, and many prefer the frame mounted has a 5" barrel vs a 4.9" barrel. This pistol has a blue-black finish with polished slide slabs. It has lustrous walnut grips, magazine bumper, square trigger guard, , and easy take down. In addition, there are front and rear slide serrations. This is a world-class service pistol design with an impeccable the Taurus comes in way under the price of the Beretta, even though the Taurus is made on Beretta machinery.
