1978 Browning Hi-Power 9mm

The Browning Hi-Power is a single-action autoloading pistol chambered for 9mm Luger. The design employs short-recoil operation and (in common full-size configurations) a 4.7 in barrel with an overall length of about 7.8 in. Standard 9mm Hi-Power magazines hold 13 rounds (13 in the magazine plus one in the chamber when topped off). Current Hi-Power models include an ambidextrous manual thumb “safety,” a loaded-chamber inspection window, and an adjustable rear sight (screw-adjustable for elevation and windage). The front sight is a dovetailed ramp on many production configurations, and the rear sight can be tuned for windage and elevation.
