The Taurus Judge Home Defender is a long-barreled, medium-frame variant of the Judge revolver designed for close-quarters/home defense. It ships with a 13 in alloy steel barrel and an extended polymer fore-end that incorporates a steel blast shield to protect the support hand.
The five-round cylinder is chambered for .45 Colt or .410 bore (up to 3" shells) and uses a double-action/single-action, swing-out cylinder with a transfer-bar safety and Taurus keyed Security System. The gun is supplied without iron sights; a full-length top Picatinny rail accepts optics and a short fore-rail accepts lights/lasers or other accessories.
Standard furniture is a textured black rubber pistol grip; finish is matte black. The Home Defender was introduced in 2023 and is intended primarily for personal/home defense and preparedness use.
