The Taurus 856 Ultra-Lite is a compact, 6-shot .38 Special revolver built for carry. The Ultra-Lite variants use a lightweight construction and a 2.00 in barrel while retaining a six-round cylinder and a serrated ramp front sight with a fixed rear sight. The 856 UL ships with rubber grips, a transfer-bar safety, and a double-action/single-action trigger system. Taurus has offered the 856 Ultra-Lite in anodized color frame options (including a Cherry/Black frame-and-cylinder combination) alongside the standard matte black and stainless finishes.
