World’s Largest Nerf Gun to Put Gun-Banners on High Alert!

in Authors, S.H. Blannelberry, This Week

Quick, call Obama, Feinstein, Schumer, Murphy and all the other anti-gunners in Congress, we have a major problem on our hands!!!

It’s the world’s largest Nerf gun!

This beast of a toy shoots darts made from toilet plungers and pool noodles at a blistering speed of 40 MPH. Oh the humanity! Think of the children. We need to protect the children!

The toy wheel gun was made by tuber Mark Rober along with his engineering buddies Ryan and David, who also have their own channel, Eclectic Engineering.

A pretty cool engineering marvel, the Nerf gun functions thanks to a 3000 psi paintball tank that releases air into a firing chamber when the giant trigger is pushed forward. When the trigger is pulled back, the air is released from the firing chamber into the main cylinder where the burst of air blasts the projectile out of the toy gun.

It’s wonderful.

Of course, we need to immediately confiscate it, arrest the guys who invented it and pass legislation banning it! Otherwise, we’re putting our children in existential danger. After all, no one needs a giant Nerf gun. And it’s the right thing to do because it’s common sense and reasonable and weapons of war play time don’t belong on the streets in our backyards.  LOL.

This is the most creative thing I have seen in a while! How long did this take to make? Wow I need one for my next Nerf gun war!

That’s the weapon I want when SHTF…..mostly because that’s when a plunger might be most useful.

As an owner of a vast arsenal of NERF weaponry, I see this as a natural evolution in the development of the first NERF weapon of mass destruction. However, I always advise people that ,while NERF guns are a lot of fun to play with, one should never underestimate the power of the NERF. I learned that lesson several years ago when I bought a cheap knock-off NERF gun, which claimed to have twice the range of a regular one. That extra power, coupled with darts that I did not realize at the time had rubber tips much harder than regular NERF darts, set the stage for a potential casualty.
During the first use of my new NERF gun, I launched a rapid barrage of shots at my kids who were across the room rapidly returning fire from behind the couch. As our battle continued, I watched one of my darts sail across the room and hit right above where the kid were located leaving a rather noticeable dent in the wall. I realize it would have done some serious damage if it had hit either of the kids, and immediately called a cease fire so I could switch to one of my older, less powerful guns with regular NERF ammo. After a brief pause, the battle resumed, and ended as expected with no one getting hurt. Needless to say, after that incident, I retired my NERF “cannon” with the deadly darts.
As a humorous footnote, to this day, my daughter jokingly points at the existing dent in the wall and claims she’s glad she was wasn’t any taller back then.

I expect there will soon be a ban on hollow-point toilet plungers. I would recommend everyone make a run on your local Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart and stockpile as many as possible just in case. 🙂

Is there a concealed carry model?

Is there a California compliant version coming out equipped with bullet button (oh wait…they want to take those away now since “they make any AR fire 700rds a minute when pressed'” lol), loaded plunger/noodle indicator, restricted to a 1000psi tank, and of course…micro-stamping? I’m thinking they should really look in to that since we’re about 2 years away from being stuck with nothing more than Nerf guns.

A friend of mind and instructing partner once used to joke in class that “In 15yrs we’ll be stuck with sling shots and hopefully revolvers.” That was only 4yrs ago and the joke ain’t funny no more…we’re basically there. 🙄
