Where’s all the .22 rimfire?

So, where’s all the .22 rimfire?

“Our answer remains the same, we’re making ammo 24 hours a day seven days a week and you know rimfire, especially, there’s a ton of interest, a lot of new shooters in our market so it’s simply demand,” Tim Brandt, the communication’s director for Federal Premium Ammunition, tells Mark Keefe of American Rifleman.

The problem is, after years of shortages if I find .22 ammo on the shelf at anything close to a resonable price, I’m going to buy as much of it as I can because who knows when I’ll see it again. I’m sure just about every other .22 fan is doing the same thing. So we ourselves might be the problem. But it does seem odd that there always appears to be tons of shotgun ammo in every conceivable gauge and shot type. Maybe Federal could convert some of the shotgun lines to .22 ammo and make some progress on filling this need.

All of this is Obamas fault!

He knew that to make America Great Again that we needed ammo to shoot undesirables. Obama was just afraid that we were going to go after his fellow Muslims and and illegals. That is the truth! and that is why it is so high!

All of these snowflake-liberal democraps hate guns and America. You better believe that if you are a real American that they hate you and want you dead. They want to redistribute everything you have. They want to take your guns and give them to the Muslims, take your kids and give them to the gays, take your money and give it to themselves.

This guy is full of it! There are NOT so many more shooters that they simply cannot keep up with demand, that is PURE BS, plain and simple!! There is no excuse for the outrageous prices being charged for ammo these days other than GREED!!! They are capable of putting out enough .22 ammo for every .22 Gunowner to shoot 100 rounds a day, and that ain’t happening! So, we are back to the greed factor! It is disgusting and it needs to stop!!!!!

I think this is total B.S! They created a shortage and quadrupled the price of a brick of .22s. How do you explain the price of the .22 cartridge going from about $20.00 a brick of five hundred, to $60.00 a brick. If they are producing ammo 24-7, the cost wouldn’t have to be that high. Its a joke to say, its a supply and demand problem. I think its greed myself, at the cost of us shooters who enjoy the .22. Give us a break! Thank You, Howard Sizemore, Maple City, Mi.
