What NRA is Doing to Stop Biden’s Gun-Grabbing Agenda

in 2nd Amendment – R2KBA, Current Events, This Week

The National Rifle Association announced this week that it’s putting up $2 million to stop the Biden administration’s anti-gun agenda, including the nomination of David Chipman as ATF director.

“Joe Biden’s nomination of Chipman, a radical gun control lobbyist, shows exactly how far his administration will go to restrict the rights of law-abiding gun owners,” NRA’s Director of Media Relations, Amy Hunter, told The Daily Wire.

“Americans should not be forced to live in fear in a political climate in which government leaders are outrightly hostile to a fundamental and guaranteed freedom enshrined in our Bill of Rights,” she continued.

NRA plans to divide up the money like so:

  • 💻 $600k in digital ads
  • 📺 $400k in TV ads
  • ✉️ $500k in mailers
  • 📱 Targeted text messages
  • 🎟 In-person and digital town hall events

“The NRA is all-in on this fight. Our members are engaged, we are fighting and educating lawmakers on the Hill, and we are spreading our message across the airwaves,” Hunter said. “We will fight Chipman’s nomination and the bad bills that now are in the Senate. And this is just the beginning. We will continue to respond to threats as they come, and we anticipate a very active spring and summer.”

Central targets of the ad spend are Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), who collaborated and sponsored the last bipartisan universal background check bill.

Due to their respective center Left and center Right political stances, they may be in a position to break a tie in the evenly divided upper chamber.

The West Virginia digital ad tells voters, “President Biden’s political machine is setting its sights” on the state by “calling for a ban on commonly owned firearms and magazines.”

“But Sen. Joe Manchin can stop him [Biden],” it continues. “Contact Joe Manchin’s office today and tell Joe to vote against Chipman’s nomination and reject President Biden’s extreme gun control agenda.”

Other important moderates the gun lobby will focus on include Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.).

The NRA is not the only organization throwing money behind its cause.  On the other side of the gun divide, Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety announced that it would also be dropping seven figures to see that background check measures that criminalize private transfers become law.

Now is the time to take action and engage.  Click HERE to contact your lawmakers to tell them to oppose Biden’s gun control and the appointment of anti-gun lobbyist David Chipman.

Tom, the NRA is the best offense we have. All organizations have their problems. Stay we with us.

Buy a gun for a youngster & teach them how to use it…

The conservatives and libertarians are doing all they can (want to)…. My viewpoint is simple. Who will be tasked to disarm (confiscate) the firearms from “We the People”? The regulations (not laws) (ATF is not a law making organization) they are (trying) attempting to write will make law abiding citizens out to be criminals. Are “you” going to be a good citizen and submit to these changes? Me, personally, believes that “if” the powers that be persist and find some fools to go house to house, then it will end up being at a very high price, with a lot of expended brass around the person they came to confiscate from.

I just don’t believe that TPTB are that foolish as it may end up being an offense as well as a defense. Just my 2 cents…..

Gun confiscation will not be agents or officers going door to door to collect our property. The feds will use financial means to try and force us into submitting to their unconstitutional socialist gun policy. Bank accounts, 401Ks, credit cards will all be frozen for any citizen that they believe own firearms they want to confiscate. I know you can’t have all your money in cash, gold or silver but you should have as much as you can in your possession. If we are going to get through this we need our state government to stand up to the fed and nullify laws that violate our 2A rights. My state of Kansas completed this several years ago and many states are going there now.

Hi, I have been a NRA member for 20 plus years now, and also paid for my son and son-in-laws 5 year memberships as well as periodic cash donations. Not that it is any big deal, but the last two times I renewed my five year memberships I was promised promotional “ incentive “ gifts for my five year memberships and in both cases I received nothing. I let it go. What really bothers me lately is the rumors I keep hearing about how certain people are taking advantage of their positions to financially better themselves and live extravagant lifestyles, all at the NRA’s expense. I don’t know how much of what I hear/read is true or not but I think it is time these people respond to these rumors. I love my firearms, hunting & shooting, collecting, etc. and I would hate to think that some people are taking advantage of their positions, using the NRA as an opportunity to better themselves. Hunters, shooters, collectors are passionate about what the NRA stands for, and many of us are digging deep to help support the NRA/Second Ammendment, but no one wants to see abuse taking place when we are constantly being asked to help support an organization outside of our membership dues and additional support that we try to help with when we can. Do us Montanans have any reps or others who hold office who can shed some light on these rumors/issues that can make some sense. Just trying to clear up some things in my mind. Thank you for your time and any help you can send my way. Sincerely, Tom

They will cut a deal like they always do, I am so past the NRA for not being zero tolerance, we would not be having this fight if they had gotten off their dead #@$%^ and stated zero tolerance to gun control when they assisted the democratic party with writing the 1968 Gun Control Act. Somehow they kind of forgot it was the democratic party that brought the nazi doctrine to the U.S. after President Kennedy’s assassination on how to disarm a populace. Get rid of Wayne and I may think about giving them a donation that matches that of a postage stamp. Guns Owners of America will get my money!

What the NRA is not doing, is putting the money into a ‘wet work’ fund like the major political parties. Instead of scaring members to give cash to 6 figure BS artists, they should be hiring ex intelligence officers, collecting filth on every anti-gun politician and billionaire out there and spewing it out non-stop until people with torches chase these anti-gunners from the country.

  • Steve April 23, 2021, 2:30 pm

NRA is clearly out of touch with gun owners. The days of mailing propaganda to thousands of folks is a vast wasted effort. They are only concerned with their high life style at members expense. I left them long ago. They are all talk, no action.

Just think…just think…if Wayne “PEPE” LePew were gone, and we could use the assets that he has personally raped from the war chest…just think.

Wayne and his crew need new suits, send money. I send my money to the 2nd Amendment Foundation.

  • Bob Fisher April 23, 2021, 10:18 am

Another NRA Blunder. Ads and mailers won’t defeat them. File law suits and tie them up in courts. The NRA is no longer effective in protecting our gun rights.

  • Trevor Teague April 23, 2021, 8:00 am

They’re going to compromise like they always do and help the left chip away at our rights. (N)egotiating (R)ights (A)way has had a hand in Every single piece of gun legislating. To hell with them.

  • Joseph F Frazzini April 23, 2021, 7:55 am

Recieved in return a fairly nasty email from Bob Casey on my stance of gun control after submitting my name on a petition regarding gun control laws, more or less told me he’s gonna do all in his power to see tyrannical gun laws pass and I’m to deal with it, is this normal?

  • Anthony Romano April 23, 2021, 7:04 am

Please contact your reps and send the NRA a little money! I just sent a few bucks, anything will help!
