WATCH! Rapper Learns the Hard Way: Holsters Exist for a Reason

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes

Colion Noir recently tackled a textbook example of what not to do when carrying a firearm. Spoiler alert: it involves a pocket, a loose gun, and an almost catastrophic outcome.

In a now-infamous podcast clip, a rapper on a podcast managed to discharge a loaded firearm while it was loose in his pocket—no holster, round in the chamber, and zero trigger protection.

The result? A blown-out pair of jeans and a whole lot of secondhand embarrassment.

Colion didn’t hold back, calling the decision to carry a loaded firearm loose in a pocket “brain-dead activity.” And honestly, he’s not wrong.

Holsters exist for a reason, and today, there are more holster options than ever before—leather, Kydex, hybrid materials, even fancy engraved designs. Pocket holsters are literally made for this exact situation.

Beyond the cringe-worthy moment, Colion highlighted the serious risks. A loaded firearm in a pocket without a holster puts you in danger of an accidental discharge, which could hit a major artery in your leg.

And if that happens? You’re not just dealing with a minor injury—you could bleed out in seconds.

Some argue pocket carry offers quicker access, but Colion breaks down why that’s not always true.

Sitting down? Good luck pulling a firearm out under pressure. Plus, pocket carry without a holster prints badly, advertising to everyone nearby that you’re armed.

But here’s the kicker: the podcast wasn’t even live. They could have edited the footage out. Instead, they uploaded it for the world to see—a cautionary tale in glorious HD.

Colion’s takeaway couldn’t be clearer: Buy a holster. Seriously, if you’re going to carry, do it responsibly. No excuses, no shortcuts—just buy a holster and carry smart.

Have you ever carried without a holster?

The fact that a company who is in the firearms business would post this on their “website” is unbelievable! You should know this was obviously a blank, and to do it in this manner to promote the sale of holsters to this” level”, is not in your best interest! This is NOT a laughing matter!

Exactly what the liberal idiot making and posting this video wanted to accomplish. Not mention the author of this post itself! No Constitutional Patriot in his right mind would EVER post such a video of himself or anyone else making such a mistake. Exactly what the liberals need, evidence supporting the need to legislate pocket carry methods and firearms. You dumbasses are playing right i to their hands, including the author of this!@ WTFUP!!!

I wish. If they spent a billion five in 4 months, that cash would have been flowing fast and loose. I barely posted during the campaign! I could have gotten paid but I have been giving it away for free.

It’s funny, but this is exactly why I gripe about all the ‘modern’ polymer guns copying the Glock trigger safety… Even the few that add an additional external safety, as many consider the trigger one alone is enough alone…
I carry a G17 in a shoulder holster, & if it wasn’t outfitted with an aftermarket external, I’d still be carrying my 1911 or Sig…
Don’t get me wrong, I do like the trigger safety… When it’s in your hand and your finger is safely positioned where it belongs. I like it a hell of a lot better that the backstrap safety of the 1911 (Which is why I had mine built without one, just a solid backstrap.) One remedy would be a heavier trigger pull… My glock is light, like 3.5 lbs. My 1911 is closer to 9 lbs…. That I would trust a bit more with a trigger safety.

I foresee many more pocket shots coming with the baby Glock single stacks…. It’s an accident waiting to happen. At least the old ‘Saturday night specials’ like the Jennings and Sterlings had hefty trigger pulls & safeties.
