CNN’s David Culver ran a report this week on why many Left-leaning women are buying guns.
Perhaps the key line in the video, which has been embedded above, came from Laronya Day who recently organized a trip to the Fortune Firearms gun range in the San Jacinto Valley with six of her girlfriends.
“Our society and climate is changing… it’s just better to be prepared for your own safety and protection. That’s how we feel,” Day told CNN.

Another line that stuck out came from firearms instructor Tom Nguyen, who founded the LA Progressive Shooters in 2020.
“The more I educate those who are formally anti-gun the more they actually realize that there’s more nuance to it,” he explained.
“It’s really convenient to think that if we just ban an object, if we just ban guns, then all of our problems would be solved – all of society’s problems would be solved – but that’s not true,” he added.

KTLA News Kareen Wynters did a similar story twice about the increase of gun ownership among blacks in the L.A. area. Her stories were more interesting and a little more informative than the CNN story. She even interviewed a black gun shop owner. L.A. County is very prohibitive of permits to carry guns or permits for bearing arms. Only the politically connected can get a CCW. The L.A. County Sheriff is now the 2nd Sheriff to be investigated for corruption regarding CCWs. It’s next to impossible to get a CCW but a right doesn’t require permission. More and more people in blue cities are realizing that. I don’t think these new gun owners are going to be deterred from bearing arms. You don’t just buy a gun for home defense if you live in and around the greater L.A. area.
Um, I don’t care that they are black liberal woman. Am I supposed to care?
Progressives will shoot you for misusing their pronouns. Words are violence.
Good sign at least a few of these liberals who think choosing your own pronouns is a “human right” are finally beginning to see that self-defense is the most fundamental of ALL human rights. The right to simply be alive doesn’t really exist without it.
When confronted by criminals who don’t respect ANY of your rights all those others become moot in the absence of a means to defend yourself.
Let’s hope these libs learn more “nuances” to other political issues too

It’s funny how at the end every place she mentioned that she wanted to carry is a gun-free zone. I think I’m free zones need to be Revisited.
