Rimfire specialist Vudoo Gun Works just announced a magazine-fed repeating bolt action rifle using their updated 3-lug locking system, the Three 60. The Three 60 combines the 60-degree, three-lug action of the single-shot Vudoo V22 rifles with the magazine system of other V22 models.

“The Three 60 configuration has been highly requested by our Vudoo family and in keeping with our promise to listen to our customers, it’s the logical next step in our product line. Is it more accurate than the 2 lug version? No, it’s just the next evolution in our ongoing commitment to redefine rimfire,” said Paul Parrott, Vudoo Gun Works CEO. “The guys who will love it most are our 3 lug centerfire shooters and those needing more bolt and optic clearance.”

In addition to accommodating scopes with large eyepieces and low mounts, the shorter 60-degree throw mimics a lot of centerfire actions with the same 60-degree bolt throws. The Three 60 uses the base V22 action which is compatible with Remington 700 Short Action furniture and Remington 700 pinned triggers.

Since the action is compatible with one of the most popular bolt-action standards on the market, the Three 60 can be outfitted with a huge range of stocks and triggers for just about every kind of shooting discipline out there. These ultra-precision rimfire rifles can be configured to order as a complete rifle or barreled action with or without a trigger.

The rifles can be ordered with a number of different barrel options in various barrel lengths along with 20-, 30-, 40- and even 60-MOA rails for extreme long range rimfire shooting. Pricing starts at $1,320 and goes up from there with options added. Lead time is currently 14 to 16 weeks.

Vudoo builds their rifles to order and offers them in left- and right-handed variants. They’re offered in .17 Hornady Mach 2, .22 Long Rifle, .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire and .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire.

The V22 bolt breaks down toollessly into three assemblies for easy maintenance and has a mid-lug design that offers better control and stability locked and unlocked. The controlled feed system ensures that rounds never angle against feed ramps or otherwise brush against surfaces that might deform the soft projectiles used in most rimfire ammunition to ensure greater accuracy and consistency.

Vudoo is also giving existing customers who have already ordered a rifle that hasn’t been completed the chance to change their order to the Three 60 pattern if they want to here.
