USA 1SHOT launched its Accurate Pistol System Wednesday, a non-NFA buttstock for handguns.
The design was the brainchild of USA 1SHOT founder Rober Gilmer, who wanted to apply the “one shot” principle to the pistol platform.
To improve stability and accuracy with a handgun, Gilmer dreamed up the proprietary pistol rest.
The Accurate Pistol System skirts NFA scrutiny because it doesn’t actually affix to the firearm. Instead, one places the pistol in the rest or system while operating the handgun.
Currently, the APS is designed to fit a number of popular pistols, including the 3rd & 4th Generation G17, G17L, G22, G24, G31, G34, G35, as well as the Beretta M9, the Smith&Wesson M&P Core, the SIG Sauer 320, and the Springfield 1911.
MSRP: $349.00
Watching these 2 vids made me angry lol…….just kinda stupid….leave sht alone…..don’t get the BATF all stirred up
nuuuuuuuuuuuuuupe
Ho Hum! I have a stocked 1914 Luger and a Marbles 18″ first model. My 30 years experience shooting these is the shoulder stock does little to enhance pistol accuracy. Why risk the Federal spanking?
I’d love to see the SBR law challenged and repealed with a reprise of the original Marble’s game getter.
I agree .Repeal the 1934 NFA the 1968 GCA and the 1986 NFA and anything else that offends the Bill of Rights.
You all know that The Tech and Legal Sections at BATFE is already drafting the “Open Letter”!
A handhun is….., a shoulder stock is……… a SBR is……. The BATFE has long held…….. utilizing a handgun arm brace to support shoulder firing constitutes “making” a NFA restricted SBR. Likewise utilizing any additional rigid material between the handgun and the shooters body in the same manner as a shoulder stock could be utilized also constitutes “making” a SBR. To lawfully “make” a SBR you must first bla, bla, bla……
This is the same crap they pulled with the Sig Brace AND Verticle fore grip on a handgun TEN YEARS AGO AND HAVE NEVER ADDED IT TO THE LAW! Changes are made to these Laws, Codes and Regs all the time but this crap is never added because it will be challenged. BATFE will lose just like the Majistrate opinioned, and ATF DROPPED THE CHARGE so it would not be a formal Ruling. Pure chicken shit rule by intimidation.
I love the device but the price is a deal-breaker. A little bit of expanding foam and a mold to make a contoured palm swell rest and my old shotgun stock and, Voila!…There you have it. What really sucks is that although it’s legal today it won’t be tomorrow: Definitely not in NY, NJ, CA or any of the left-wing states. It reminds me of the old cowboy flick where the hero was outgunned by a rifleman atop a rocky hill with a Winchester trying to pick him off; when he suddenly got the idea of shooting a hole through a piece of 2×4 and using it as a stock to take a well aimed kill shot. Same principle really.
I long for the day when these asinine laws are repealed. A pistol as a sub-gun is a really neat hack.
Hah, nice try, guise. You’re still going to jail though.
As an afterthought: If you buy this pistol rest you better hope you never get framed by a dishonest cop: A piece of duct tape or a shoelace will be all that’s needed to turn you into a convicted felon and take away your 2A rights. Something to think about:
Once it’s “fixed” onto your pistol it becomes an NFA weapon.
Possession of a shoelace in conjunction with a semi-automatic firearm already constitutes constructive possession of a machine gun. The prohibited part? The shoelace.
