At SHOT Show 2024, Primary Arms turned heads with their latest optics lineup. Their new Discovery 2024 launch introduces innovative red dots in the GLX and SLX lines. The standout feature?

The GLX models include a solar fail-safe on top. Unlike others, the solar panel is the primary power source, with the battery as a backup. This efficient solar cell powers the dot even under interior lighting, ensuring constant readiness.

These models also include night vision settings and offer two reticle options: a traditional 2 MOA dot and a new user-configurable ACSS CQB reticle. The versatility of these reticles caters to different shooting scenarios, whether using a magnifier or under night operations.

Unlimited eye relief is a feature of this new red dot from Primary Arms.
Truly unlimited eye relief.

Primary Arms didn’t stop there. They also released new SLX mounts, including a 2.26 height riser for T1/T2 footprint optics. This design facilitates a higher, heads-up shooting position while still allowing iron sight co-witnessing.

The GLX 1X micro prism, a major highlight, offers a crisp, bright image with excellent light transfer. Its digital buttons and streamlined design make it even more compact. The prism boasts an etched reticle, a boon for those with astigmatism. It’s illuminated in either green or red, and its unlimited eye relief is a game changer. Whether you’re shooting braced pistols or in unconventional positions, the reticle remains clear and consistent.

As for availability, these optics are set to hit stores in Q2 of the year. The GLX 1X micro prism is priced under $350, offering unlimited eye relief at an affordable rate. The MD 21s, on the other hand, will cost just under $250.

Primary Arms has ensured that these optics are not just technologically advanced but also practical. For more information on these optics, visit Primary Arms Optics’ website.
