Texas Grand Jury Indicts Cody Wilson for Sexual Assault, Indecency

Cody Wilson now faces four counts of sexual assault of a child, two charges of indecency with a child by contact, and two charges of indecency with a child by exposure.

The list of criminal charges against 3D-printed gun pioneer Cody Wilson just got longer.

Wilson, the founder of Defense Distributed, was arrested last September on charges relating to sex with a juvenile female under the age of 17.

But late last week, a Texas grand jury added to the case against the gun-rights activist bringing the total to four counts of sexual assault of a child, two charges of indecency with a child by contact, and two charges of indecency with a child by exposure, according to ARSTechnica.

All the charges stem from the alleged encounter Wilson had with a 16-year-old at the Archer Hotel in Austin, TX, on Aug. 15, 2018.

Police say that Wilson and the victim met on the website sugardaddymeet.com, a portal geared toward hooking up successful men with “young and attractive” women. The two exchanged text messages along with explicit photos before engaging in intercourse and oral sex, according to authorities.

Wilson is also believed to have paid the girl, who has since become an adult, $500 after the affair.

BREAKING: Cody Wilson Steps Down as Head of Defense Distributed Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

The attorney representing Wilson expressed disappointment with the Travis County grand jury’s decision.

“Mr. Wilson at all times believed reasonably that the complaining witness was a consenting adult,” said F. Andino in an interview with the Statesman.com. “We are confident that once all of the facts are out and we have a chance to interface with the DA’s office more directly that we’ll be able to resolve this matter.”

Following his arrest, Wilson stepped down as the head of Defense Distributed to “focus on personal legal affairs,” according to his replacement, the new DD CEO Paloma Heindorff.

All of the charges Wilson faces are second-degree felonies that carry sentences of up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.

Wilson posted bail to the tune of $150,000 and remains out of jail.

“He’s taking it one day at a time,” added Reynal. “Obviously, this is not the kind of situation that anyone would ever wish to go through.”

    Wait a Minute.
    1. SHE Signed Up on SugardaddyMeet.
    2. SHE Represented herself as an Adult.
    3. SHE Accepted $500 for “Services” Rendered.

All this only “Came to Light” while Defense Distributed is telling BATFE to Pound Sand over 3-D Printer Files.
Sorry I don’t Buy this. My Ex-Wife worked for TXCPS and they are Crooked and EVIL. She admitted they Fabricated Evidence during her tenure there. To Get Convictions.
Siding with BATFE and Moms Demand Action etc. is NOT Above them.

In earlier articles it was alleged the girl posed as a adult, but parents got involved after the tryst. Don’t know the guy, but using an online service to hook up is not without risk. Whatever the outcome, he’s screwed.

Well! There was a time in Texas, unless they changed their laws, that if the girl was 13 or above and that if she was sexually active you could not be charged with rape of a minor especially if you didn’t know she was a minor. The way some girls dress today and use of makeup it’s hard to tell their age. Not that I’m blaming any victim. Just stating a fact.

This sounds like a bad movie …. I won’t be surprised if the “girl” turns out to be twenty-two years old and is employed by a “foundation” with ties to certain government employees who park on the Left side of the street.

The behavior is one in which he should have not engaged. It does reveal a moral weakness, but does not refute his ingenuity for what is has done in building the printed gun. Although he did engage in something out of poor judgment, should not the girl be charged with prostitution? Or was she trafficked by someone else??? There has to be more to this.

Well, I’ll be darned if this doesn’t have an odor of the Kavanaugh inquisition.
dallas liberals….take note: Has Mr. Wilson a parking ticket you overlooked? Does Mr. Wilson know any Russians?
Run at once to special counsel Muler for assistance.

No charges of prostitution against the “minor”? He let his little head think for him and no he’s paying for it.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he is alleged to have done. It was allegedly consentual. Teenagers have sex with one another all of the time and people used to, and still get married at 16. If teenagers decide to have sex with an adult, then so what? I think that law enforcement and the courts need to concentrate more on violent criminals, thieves, and drug crimes.

I smell a setup. A person has to be extremely careful and cover their ass extremely well when you buck the system and the status quo! Warning!

    • Altoids January 4, 2019, 8:27 am

I was thinking just that as I got about halfway through the article.

    • johnnyraygun January 4, 2019, 8:30 am

@Jay, I must disagree with your premise. First you claim a set-up without facts to back it up. There will be a trial and the burden of truth will lie on the prosecution. When the facts come out, then we can decide on which side of the fence we fall.
Concerning the fact that he is involved in 3d pistol printing, I can see no good coming from this. As an honest firearms owner, one of my fears is homemade pistols in criminal hands. This will provoke more stringent “Gun Control” and that infringes on my rights. Nothing like every gang banger armed with an untraceable pistol.
If Cody Wilson committed “Sexual Assault”, hang him by his testies and move on.

You realize that’s the exact argument used for every piece of anti-gun legislation? News flash, outlawing 3D printed guns would only stop the law abiding.

        • Carl January 4, 2019, 12:25 pm

Just another gun grabber troll talking trough his ass.

      • John Boutwell January 4, 2019, 10:37 am

I have to stand with you in this case.

      • Robert Campbell January 4, 2019, 12:16 pm

Really bad argument. Your premise is law abiding folks shouldn’t be able to make their own firearms because criminals can then make their own guns. What’s the difference between that and law abiding people shouldn’t have guns because then criminals might have guns?

Your rights are already severely infringed. You think govt’ needs more excuses? This does indeed smell like a setup. Cody has had a target on his back for sometime. You think the govt. is beyond setting him up? If you do you’re a fool.

You also believe he’ll receive a fair trial. Really? Again, if you believe this see my last comment. You sound to me like so many other sheeple. Keeping your head low, following all the rules and everything will be fine. You’re deluded. Wake up friend.

      • AJ January 4, 2019, 9:30 pm

The “facts” from the first case were fishy from the start… It literally screamed set up. The 17 yr old sought him out online and lied about her age to do so. When people start actually researching the case and their supposed “evidence”, they now throw in another minor. The first chick wasn’t even the one who brought it up. Her counselor did. This is literally a Democrat set up. Historically, Democrats have burned people for not agreeing with them, not just recently. I’m talking about since the conception of democracy. Sure he’s an idiot for doing the online shit.. but these little sluts need to be punished for their part in this too. They both lied about their age and accepted money for sex. Illegal as all hell.
