Miramar, Fla. (June 2019) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., proudly announce that they have received a near perfect score of 4.97 out of a possible 5 for the TT Move On MKll backpack from the National Tactical Officer’s Association’s (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program. This unique program offers manufacturers of public safety equipment the opportunity to get gear in the hands of law enforcement and SWAT officers for the purposes of running tests to determine if the product meets the needs, requirements, and demands of the job.
“The Move On backpack system was designed to be very versatile for a SWAT or EMS unit,” Richard Lewis, President and CEO of Proforce Equipment, Inc., explained. “The entire unit can be loaded with medical equipment and the front small pack can quickly and easily be disengaged from the main pack to serve as a quick trauma pack. We have already seen a very high interest in the pack and this incredible score from law enforcement users validates its unique design purpose.”
An officer from Massachusetts commented, “The pack is well constructed of durable Cordura with robust, well sewn #10 YKK zippers. There is laser cut MOLLE slots on all of the exteriors of the pack. They (Tasmanian Tiger) put some thought into the layout of their pack. The layout is logical and the contents are easily accessible.”
Inside, there is MOLLE hook-and-loop on the interior walls for customizing the configuration and there are internal fixation points for medical equipment. It includes three removable transparent pouches, detachable panels with elastic loops and a rain cover. It holds 40 liters (2441 cubic inches) of medical gear (not included in pack). It measures 20” x 12” x 9” (52 x 29 x 24cm) and weighs 92 ounces empty or 131 ounces with accessories (2.6kg empty / 3.7 kg full).
The officer from Wisconsin found, “The bag has a well-thought-out design and you are able to remove the cards and/or pouches with the (hook-and-loop) that is attached. They include (hook-and-loop) strips to attach to the pouches to indicate breathing or bleeding. The construction of the bag is great…it appears that this bag would hold everything you need to carry for a TEMS* unit. Overall, a nice kit, I would recommend it for any Medic Element.”
And an officer summed up the Move On backpack with, “The shoulder and waist straps are fully adjustable, quite comfortable and are extra-long. This extra strap length allows for easily carrying the kit while wearing your body armor. The pack back is padded, adjustable, and is comfortable. When the pack is fully loaded and cinched down, this is a comfortable pack to wear, has no dangling stuff and is dead quiet. I like this pack!”
The TT First Responder Move On MKII is available in Black, Coyote or Olive. MSRP is $449.00. Medical contents not included.
