The Rundown

A California homeowner survived last week what police are calling “a targeted home invasion.”

Dispatch in Newport Beach, California received a 911 call around 4:45 a.m. reporting the incident.

According to KTLA, it was during the 911 call the resident reported someone getting shot. The caller said that two men were fleeing the home.

Police arrived on the scene to find one man injured and one dead.

A Targeted Home Attack

The two men entered the gated community and headed for a specific house. Police do not know how these two suspects bypassed the guard.

According to KABC, the suspects used a side door to enter the home around the time the 911 call was made. The homeowner reportedly shot one of the men.

When police arrived, one of the suspects was found “lying in the street and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.” He had a handgun near him on the ground.

According to the LA Times, he was later identified as 24-year-old Andrew Miguel Rosas.

Rosas was taken to a hospital and the second suspect was found dead in nearby bushes.

According to FoxNews, the second suspect had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This suspect has not been publicly identified because the next-of-kin hasn’t been located.

Rosas has appeared in court hearings already and has been charged with multiple felonies. There are reports of two more suspects being involved but no information has been released about them.

A Case With Crazy Details

Police are withholding many details from the public because the investigation is ongoing. However, the LA Times claims that this targeted home attack involved “zip ties, guns, and rope.”

The connection between the victims and the suspects has been confirmed, but details remain unspecified pending the investigation.

This bizarre home invasion drew immediate media attention, with one news organization deploying a helicopter to the scene within hours of the shooting.

Police are assuring residents that this appears to be an isolated incident.

“It is very rare for the city of Newport Beach,” Police Sgt. Steve Oberon said. “I want the residents and community members to know that we’re doing everything that we can to continue to ensure everyone’s safety.”

The Mayor of Newport Beach also commented, praising the homeowner for defending his home and family.

“I can tell you right now if you come into Newport Beach to commit a crime, we will defend ourselves, and today is an example of that,” he said.

Don’t Be the Next Targeted Home

While some areas may be safer than others, no one can guarantee complete safety from crime. However, you can prepare yourself as this California homeowner did.

During the home invasion, three other people, including a child, were in the home. The homeowner likely did not anticipate needing to shoot anyone in defense of his family, but he took action and prevented a potential tragedy.

This targeted home attack could have unfolded very differently.

it’s good he was armed cause you can bet that those guys were there to do them all harm. but i have to say that even if the chief of police says they’re there to protect you anytime this happens they’re there to clean up the mess as they can never get there in time to help you. don’t listen to the marxist democRATS, amp yourself, train with it and be ready for this type of thing as this home owner found out “he didn’t think he was going to have to shoot someone” but his family is glad he did. look we have over 12 million illegal aliens in our country now with more walking in everyday not to count the thugs who marxist democRATS just turn around and let out to keep doing more crimes. our 2nd amendment was given to us by our founding fathers as they knew even back then we would always need it. keep safe nd protect you and yours no one else is going to do it for you,

i think that was a close call for the homeowners. As one commenter said there might have been rape and torture inline for them.

zip ties and rope are useful when you want to secure someone and make a brutal example of them. or perhaps it’s as simple as torturing to find valuables🤷

I’m completely shocked the storm troopers that run the ‘Republic Of Kalifornastan’ didn’t immediately arrest the homeowner for murder.

Newport Beach is a very rich and more importantly, very Republican city. That’s why.

Yes, my aunt and uncle live there. Ronald Reagan once said: “liberalism is a form of mental illness”, and brother, there are a LOT of mentally ill folks living out on the “left” coast. That’s why they call it the “butthole of the world”.

Some illegals being dumped on the US are skilled B&E crews. Thanks fake POTUS (genuine POS).

It’s possible that a neighbor was part of the surveillence operation and could have smuggled the entry team through the gate. There should be a trail detected by cameras.
