The .22 LR is without a doubt the most ubiquitously manufactured cartridge of all time. But how does the .22 rimfire fit in the world of those who carry firearms for self-defense?

Magpul showcased a series of new products at this year’s SHOT Show, some of them previously teased, others newly unveiled.

The Virtus weighs and handles almost exactly the same as its centerfire counterpart which makes it a very affordable training and teaching tool.

All that put together gives the knife a vibe. Like it talks to you when you hold it, which is a rarity among weapons. The feel from this one is all primitive.

To really appreciate the LEAP/MAG you need to handle a rifle with one.  It keeps the balance of the weapon and doesn’t get in the way of operation. 

Like the other rangefinders, the binoculars can wirelessly pair with several of their scopes using SIG’s BDX – Ballistic Data Xchange – system.

One of the more anticipated rifles from FN has been the SCAR 20S, based on their Mk 20 SSR (Sniper Support Rifle) that’s been in service with special operations forces since 2010.

Their newest offering, the SBA4 adds to the SBA3’s design by creating a larger surface in order to establish a cheek weld.  In design elements, it is a cross between the SBA3 and the SBM4.
