At midnight last night, SilencerCo announced a new Suppressor, the Hybrid 46M. I actually had the opportunity to spend most of the day Saturday at SilencerCo with the new 46M. While there I got to use the sound meter in SilencerCo’s lab as well as test the 46M with multiple calibers and platforms on the range. 

SilencerCo, one of the biggest names in the American suppressor industry, and one of its biggest promoters, just launched a new, premium AR-15-pattern lower receiver.

The Omega 36M is backward-compatible with existing SilencerCo accessories and ships with a Charlie end cap and ASR mount.

What is more fun than shooting big, loud guns? Shooting big, quiet guns and that is a tested and proven fact. I had the opportunity to use the Silencerco Hybrid 46 suppressor and jumped on it because of my large collection of various caliber guns.

The nation’s largest suppressor manufacturer announced today the release of the Switchback 22, a modular product SilencerCo calls the “quietest… most versatile” .22LR suppressor on the market.

Times have changed. In the past, there’s was a claim about pistol suppressors that, up until recently, still had relevance. The claim was that compared to rifle suppressors, pistol suppressors made less sense. On the other hand, a suppressed rifle can hang harmlessly and comfortably on a sling or sit on a bipod allowing the operator to load mags, and do other administrative duties without having to put the firearm in a less than ideal location. This theory held water until now, with the release of SilencerCo’s Maxim 9.

SilencerCo this week debuted the Maxim 50, an integrally suppressed muzzleloader that is legal in all 50 states.  It’s the first of its kind and yep, it’s legal everywhere, from La La Land to the Big Apple.    

This week, Congressman Jeff Duncan (R-SC) and Congressman John “Judge” Carter (R-TX) introduced the highly anticipated H.R. 367, the Hearing Protection Act (HPA).
