With all the winning SIG Sauer has done over the last 18 months with the P320, I feel like here at GunsAmerica despite our extensive coverage we have forgotten to highlight one great feature.  The P320’s magic modular chassis system.

The notice specifically states that the new Sub Compact Weapon, or SCW, needs to be a “highly concealable sub compact weapon system capable of engaging threat personnel with a high volume of lethal and accurate fires at close range with minimal collateral damage.”

Over the last 9 months of testing, the SIG MCX VIRTUS has proven to be a very reliable and useful weapon. In its 5.56 configurations, we saw it run in all weather conditions over the winter, a 2000 rounds suppressed test and many other shenanigans. The most impressive part to me was that we had a multi-configurable rifle, that consistently shot ½ MOA groups. This week, we finally got the long awaited 300 AAC barrel.

Police officers, competitive shooters, and military units train with air guns. What do they know that you don’t?  It is safer and cheaper than live fire while measurably improving performance. There is no better way to teach trigger control and reduce anticipation of recoil. The cost of range training is more than just the ammunition. We must also include vehicle mileage, targets and range fees but perhaps the most precious resource consumed is time.

If you just purchased your SIG P365 you need to do two things: get a comfortable holster and a few 12-round extended magazines. Both are life-changing.

SIG Sauer is putting out a special edition, carry-sized version of the P320 for the law enforcement community. 

SIG has come out swinging in the hunting optics arena this year, with the introduction of the all-new BDX line. The Ballistic Data Exchange, or BDX, is a family of range finders and scopes that work together for fast and accurate shots. Once paired, the rangefinder beams data to the scope, showing a holdover dot for a fail-safe firing solution. The illuminated dot in the scope is bright and unmistakable, and also features SIG’s anti-cant illumination dots on the left and right edges of the scope.

The SIG P320 RX is a premium striker fired pistol that comes with the SIG Romeo1 red dot sight pre-mounted and zeroed, out of the box, making it an exceptional value for the price. MSRP for the full-size RX is $950 but you can usually find them for under $900.

The U.S. Marine Corps is following the Army and Air Force in adopting SIG Modular Handgun System M17 and M18 pistols for service.
