Primary Arms has introduced two new riflescopes at SHOT Show, and each is worth taking a quick look at.

While new weapons platforms are constantly in development, the AK-47 pattern rifle has withstood the test of time and proven that old designs still have their place in the modern world.

Primary Arms Optics has released three new optics as part of Odyssey 2023 Part 2: an FDE PLx® 1-8x24mm FFP Compact Rifle Scope, a 2nd Generation SLx® 3-18x50mm FFP Rifle Scope, and a Classic Series® RD-25 Red Dot.

If you’re not familiar, prism optics are fixed-powered optics that excel on AR’s because of the modern carbine-like nature.

The combination of close-range hog hunting combined with the possibility of longer shots is why Primary Arms’ new SLX 1-10 caught my eye.

I was first introduced to Blue Force Gear’s Helium Whisper technology earlier this year, and came away very impressed. Helium Whisper is a new laser cut space ninja type fabric that weighs, as the name implies, nothing. Picking it up, you would think it might be fragile. On that count, you would be wrong. Despite feeling like nothing, as well as being very thin, you can’t tear it.

Primary Arms Optics has released its first two pairs of binoculars: the SLx 10x42mm and GLx 10x42mm binoculars.

Following the success of their Odyssey 2023 Reveal Event, Primary Arms Optics has released their 2nd Generation SLx® MD-25 Red Dot Sight, which incorporates their patented AutoLive® illumination technology for extended runtime.

We finally wrapped up our Primary Arms pistol lower build, out of all the orphan parts. We had a lot of fun completely disregarding color schemes as we perused the sale pages and bought whatever was in stock. Which ended us with a 2A lower, radian safety, mag pul grip, and an AR Gold Trigger. Oh, and a CMMG RipBrace since this was a pistol configuration, one of my favorite parts to hit the market this year. So finally, we can get to the point. And the point was to make a 7.62×39 pistol from AR parts.
