What I Love & Hate About the Diamond D Custom Leather Shoulder Holster

Pictured below are a Diamond D Custom Leather shoulder holster and a Glock 26. They make a great combination for concealed carry. When it comes to this rig, I love the comfort, balance and retention, but I do not love where the muzzle of the gun ends up.

Auto-Ordnance is proud to offer this latest custom 1911 in honor of the pilots who flew in defense of our nation during WWII,” said the Pennsylvania-based company in a press release.  “May their bravery and sacrifice always be remembered!”

Czech vz52 Pistol – The Sort-Of MP5 Roller-Locked Handgun

In 1952 the Czech military adopted a radically strange new pistol designed by two brothers, Jan and Jaroslav Kratochvil. The vz52 (not to be confused with the vz52 rifle of the same designation that entered Czech service the same year) represented a unique application of the roller-locked action pioneered by the German MG42 machine gun. While HK dabbled in the same thing with their short-lived P9S handgun, the vz52 pistol was otherwise unique.

Behold!  The “ultimate concealed carry pistol,” the CCP M2 from Walther. Is it really the ultimate discreet carry gun?  We’ll have to get one in for review before can answer that but needless to say, we are intrigued. Between the tool-less takedown feature and the soft-coil recoil reduction system it may prove to be a [...]

NEW 9mm Springfield XD-S Mod.2: Review and Comparison to the Original

Successful firearm sequels balance “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” with real, value-adding improvements. If a manufacturer re-engineers a popular design like the XD-S, they risk losing those features that made the firearm successful in the first place. But if they don’t improve enough components, “new-and-improved” starts to look suspiciously like “the-same-and-more-expensive.” Those were my thoughts heading into this review, but I think Springfield balanced these two extremes well.

Georg Luger left an indelible mark on the firearms world that persists to this very day. His extraordinary eponymous handgun was not an altogether original design, however. His mentor, a German engineer named Hugo Borchardt, was actually the first to realize the human knee would translate into a serviceable firearm.
