The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) scored a major legal victory today, as a New York court struck down attempts by the New York Attorney General to dissolve the 150-year-old organization.

The Board of Directors for the National Rifle Association closed ranks around Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre over the weekend, voting 44-2 at their annual meeting to keep the embattled NRA leader in the position he’s held since 1991.

Joe Biden has therefore forfeited any credibility or moral authority on the issue of what ordinary Americans should do with their constitutionally protected arms.

Let this be clear: we are an organization that remains committed to its course, even as we confront our adversaries in New York and beyond. The NRA will keep fighting, as we’ve done for 150 years.
