One of the silliest arguments about the purposes of the Second Amendment is put forward this way. The newly formed Constitutional government would never have created an amendment with the purpose of destroying the government just created.

A Democratic Congressman reintroduced legislation last Friday that would place a 1000 percent excise tax on so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines.”

The motion to dismiss the charges against Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been denied by New Mexico Judge Mary Marlowe.

Police are saying that the call came in at around 1 in the morning. The original 911 call indicated an attempted burglary, but when they arrived it had escalated to “shots fired.”

“No veteran should be considered ‘defective’ simply because they need help managing their finances; and they certainly shouldn’t be forwarded to DOJ for additional screening because of it,” he continued.

GOA has already announced plans to file a lawsuit to block this rule, but that does not absolve Congress of its responsibility to use every means necessary to defend the Second Amendment.
