A Ford dealership in Alabama used a classic marketing technique this week, but instead of a free hotdog or free movie tickets with purchase, they were offering a free shotgun. But once corporate got involved, the promotion was short-lived.

Senator Elizabeth Warren didn’t make any friends in the gun ban lobby during last night’s Democratic presidential debate. The candidate from Massachusetts sidestepped a question posed by moderator Chuck Todd, who asked Warren what she planned to do with the millions of privately-owned firearms in the United States.

At least ten bills are working their way through the California state legislature that would expand the state’s “red flag” law, according to the Los Angeles Times. The bills would, among other things, expand the list of people would could request gun confiscation orders and extend the duration of “gun violence restraining orders” from one to give years.
