“It’s just an indication of the problem we have with the scourge of gun violence in this country that we need to do much more at a federal level to stop,” Art Acevedo, chief of the Miami Police Department, told CBS’ Face the Nation.

“Enough,” he continued. “Once again, I urge Congress to take immediate action and heed the call of the American people, including the vast majority of gun owners, to help end this epidemic of gun violence in America.”

David Chipman, gun ban advocate and would-be director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, testified before a Senate committee today as part of his confirmation process, and his statements demonstrated exactly the kind of anti-gun attitude the gun rights community fears.

A major tenant of the Chinese Communist Party is a strict regulation of firearm ownership. They do so under the guise of “protecting human rights” and “reducing gun crimes.” They even criticize the United States for not following their example.

A similar anti-Semitic attack began to play out in Miami Beach on Tuesday, but a man with a firearm stopped it before it escalated to violence.

The Firearm Carry Act of 2021, or as it’s also known HB 1927, cleared both chambers of the Texas Legislature and will now head to the desk of Gov. Greg Abbott.

“This is not a natural disaster,” said Hogg. “This is a completely human-enabled disaster and a disaster that’s enabled by the corruption of our elected officials that say repeatedly let’s just go with whatever the NRA says.”

A bill passed by the Texas state legislature this weekend could remove federal licensing requirements for suppressors manufactured, purchased, and possessed within state borders, and provide a blueprint for other states to circumvent National Firearm Act restrictions.

“Finding the discarded packaging of a semi-automatic on a leisurely weekend walk was disturbing, particularly during this month’s surge of gun violence in San Francisco,” he tweeted, along with the hashtags #EndGunViolence #EnoughIsEnough.
