The United States Special Operations Command – SOCOM – just tapped FN to buy new MK 46 and MK 48 light machine guns.

Sig Sauer announced this week the release of the M17-Commemorative Edition, a near-exact replica of the P320 variant that won the U.S. Army contract for the modular handgun system last year. Sig has only produced 5,000 of these handguns, and they’re selling for $1,220 a pop.

The Victory .38 was a wartime version of the original Smith and Wesson Model 10 first introduced in 1899. The gun was variously known as the S&W Military and Police or the S&W Hand Ejector. Total production exceeded six million copies. While civilian variants typically sported a deep blue finish and a variety of barrel lengths, the Victory model was bred purely for combat.

The Army is looking new 120mm and 81mm mortar systems that not only fire mortars but also missiles and even weaponized drones.

The new Kalashnikov 300-series is a big bore beaut. Chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO and .308 Winchester, the Kalashnikov Concern calls it the AK-308.
