I have shot a lot of 10mm guns in my life, so I say this with some weight behind it. The Mk10 is the best 10mm on the market, hands down. At any price. And I can offer no higher praise than that.

This week, I finally got my hands on a long-overdue sample from the all new XDM Elite line up of guns. The Elite series is pretty much everything you would add from the aftermarket to an XDM, configured at the factory, and with a price that won’t break the bank.

It has been 61 years since the Bodyguard was introduced. The fact that it is still in production is a credit to a design that has proven timeless.

What we wanted and deserved is a high capacity striker fired gun, sized for the human hand. And today, that dream becomes a reality. The XDM 10mm fits all the requirements, and then some. The XDM 10 is identical in grip size to the XDM 45, which is a vastly underrated weapon.

When I unboxed the Predator, I found a skinny little tapered barrel, a light composite stock, and a surprisingly smooth action. I say surprising because there was really nothing remarkable about the rifle other than the action. Admittedly, I did not have high expectations for the predator. It is a deceptively modest gun. Can a rifle that retails for less than $500 makes hits at 1,000 yards?

It certainly looked and felt good, and it held more bullets than its rival competitors, but looks are sometimes deceiving. The true test is when you put a product side by side with its competitors and see how they stack up. So after a not so patient wait to get the newly popular P365 its time to get down to the range, scales and numbers to see how it does.
