As one who switches between day and night optics often, quick detach or QD mounts have been an excellent tool in my toolbox. While QD mounts were always convenient, many people worry about what accuracy they may be sacrificing by not utilizing a fixed mount. Curious myself, I decided to test out how well the BoBro Engineering QD mounts would hold zero when being taken off and then re-attached to the same rail slot.

I don’t spend all that much time talking about AR-15 upgrades, because I find that many bolt ons are basically chopper chrome. That is to say, they might look cool but actually don’t enhance performance. But today we are going to look at one that I have found to be worth your consideration. I’ve fired several hundred rounds of buckshot and slugs through my Benelli M4 equipped with the Aridus QD-C side saddle, and shells have never come loose or even shifted in place. The QD-C carrier is as premium as it looks. It’s war-ready, and while some might say it’s over-engineered, I say it’s a buy once cry once affair.
