The L19 Long Range Compact Thrower from AceBeam

The L19 Long Range Compact Thrower from AceBeam

During my deep dive into the flashlight world, I discovered a relatively new brand AceBeam (est. 2014). The name kept showing up on forums and a friend mentioned they were excellent lights, so I had to try them out. They offer a wide variety of flashlights for any situation from diving to hunting and anything in between.

Combat Grade Flip Flops?

Combat Grade Flip Flops?

These combat grade flip flops are ones I can highly recommend. If you prefer partial nudity for your toes but don’t wanna be completely lacking, TEVA is the weapon of choice.

Tru-Spec MultiCam Tropic

Tru-Spec MultiCam Tropic

Tru-Spec, prior to this review, I would have called a medium brand. They aren’t Chinesium airsoft pants that will fall apart in a spin cycle, but also not Uber Gucci snobby kid tactical grade. In fact, I bought my stuff for personal use, it was never supposed to be a review. But when my package arrived, I decided I had to get the word out.

Outside the Waistband Summer Carry?

Outside the Waistband Summer Carry?

Generally speaking, I am a fan of inside the waistband carry for real concealment. And across the years, Cross Breed has absolutely been my leather of choice. But, sometimes IWB isn’t the best answer. So I do like to have an OWB option laying around, especially for summertime carry.

Timney Alpha Competition Trigger for Glock Gen 3, 4, and 5

Timney Alpha Competition Trigger for Glock Gen 3, 4, and 5

I got my start in the gun industry doing Glock trigger jobs in the late ’90s. I had a version that broke under 2 pounds using modified stock parts – except the firing pins spring. I have done over 1000 trigger jobs since then. They are now all more or less obsolete thanks to Timney.

Cool Off with 5.11 Shorts

Cool Off with 5.11 Shorts

Summer is here and it’s hot. Temperatures in the 90s and 100s have been common recently. Besides shade and water, what do we need in weather like this? Shorts. We need shorts.

BlackFire Comes Out Swinging

BlackFire Comes Out Swinging

An odd part of this job is when we take a look at absolutely new brands. Not because we don’t like to see new things, but because of the responsibility that comes with it. If you send me a piece of junk, I am going to tell you your baby is ugly. And I’m going to tell all of our subscribers your baby is ugly. And that is never fun. But for this week’s introduction to some new toys, I had no hesitation at all.
