Backyard Mosin-Nagant Shooting – The Gletcher Model 1891 BB-Gun Replica Rifle
BY GunsAmerica Actual Published: June 8, 2016 { 3 comments }It is so frustrating sometimes to have a safe full of guns, but no time to go out and shoot. For that reason I’ve been exploring a series here on air gun training, and BB gun, Airsoft and Paintball versions of popular guns in general. This is a high-end replica of the Mosin-Nagant rifle from Gletcher. It weighs over 5 lbs, and looks, feels and even works similar to a real Mosin. The bolt cycles with the same weight and resistance, and you feel as if you are shooting the real thing. Of course it goes “poof” and not bang, but oh well, the neighbors would call the cops on you anyway. And who doesn’t miss the gargantuan Mosin kick right?

BY Joel Kolander Published: June 8, 2016 { 6 comments }Obviously, these are success stories the likes of which have changed firearms history. However, for every success story, there are dozens of ideas that didn’t make it. Even the vaunted Smith & Wesson was not immune from the pitfalls of 19th Century firearms design. Prepping 101: Off Grid Lighting – The Aladdin Lamp
BY Paul Helinski Published: June 5, 2016 { 10 comments }Sometimes for this column, I have to admit that I put things off that give me trouble. Such is the case for the Alladin Lamp. No, it’s not about the genie silly. If you have never looked into off grid living, probably you have never encountered what is considered the most elegant of kerosene lamps, but they are pretty nifty. You would think the Alladin is a pressure lamp, running on propane, but it is not. That white light comes from regular old kerosene, and it will likewise run just about any lamp oil, and even diesel fuel, with no appreciable loss, or that much of a smell in my experience.
Point Shooting – Fact or Fiction (The Competitive Edge w/ Rob Leatham)
BY Administrator Published: June 5, 2016 { 0 comments }Ever watch a professional shooter move through a course of fire and think they are doing something you’re not? I’ve had the feeling.
