A gunfight at Benihana Sunday night left one would-be robber dead and one victim injured, reports local media.

An armed robber lost his life Saturday night after being shot in the head by his would-be victim, an off-duty state corrections officer.

Louisville Police Chief Steve Conrad defended his officer’s use of deadly force during Saturday’s fatal shooting and released CCTV footage of the incident to update the media on the ongoing investigation.

An Atlanta man stood his ground and defended his home over the weekend when two suspected robbers broke into his residence on Howell Terrace on the city’s southwest side.

“He was checking to see if I was asleep,” recalled Dykes. “I thought, ‘Yep, I know what you’re up to.” He turned sideways, like a judo guy, and bam: half of his body was in (the window). That’s when I shot him.”
