Tampa Bay Times identified the intruder as 46-year-old Tony Sei. Sei entered the Hillsborough County home around midnight in an armed intrusion. 

A homeowner in Houston fatally shot an intruder earlier this week who police say lived there previously.

Two suspects broke into the Monroe County home just after midnight. News outlets report that two residents were in the home at the time. 

Officer Brinkley responded quickly, heading to the last known location of the fleeing suspect, who had run toward the nearby Walmart.
