Geissele: URGI in the Wild & New Remington 700 Triggers — SHOT Show 2018
BY Clay Martin Published: February 5, 2018 Updated: February 5, 2018Wheelgun vs. Semiauto — Which is the Best for CCW
BY Aram Von Benedikt Published: February 4, 2018 Updated: February 4, 2018I was a young cowboy with a fondness for horses, firearms, and pretty girls, in that order. One afore-mentioned pretty girl awaited my arrival across a high mountain pass that guards my Rocky Mountain home, but as my diesel pickup growled its way upward toward the pass I knew I was going to be early for our date. So I geared down and pulled off the highway into a small patch of ponderosa timber. The motor grumbled to a halt and I lifted my most recent crush off the truck seat, it’s long frame svelte and gleaming in the late afternoon light. The action was as smooth as whipped cream sweetened with maple sugar, and I forgot all about my upcoming date. Carrying the curvaceous form a little way from the truck I swung it to eye level and squeezed. A distant twig disappeared with a thunderous crack, and smoke rose in slow spirals from the six-inch barrel of my vintage Colt Python. I was in love.

Let Your Target Do the Work: Magneto Speed T1000 Target Hit Indicator — SHOT Show 2018
BY Thomas Gomez Published: January 31, 2018 Updated: January 31, 2018For those of us that regularly shoot steel target at long distances, spotting impacts can be difficult. Target cameras can be a viable solution, but in my experience will not last a typical day of shooting due to the loss of battery. One very innovative product I saw during the 2018 SHOT Show was the T1000 Target Hit Indicator from Magneto Speed.

And, while there are some objective qualifications for any holster – such as stability, security and safety – we can expect some subjectivity, especially when it comes to fit and comfort.
