A Swedish watchmaker has taken gun-related virtue signaling to a whole new level. The company, helpfully named Transforming the Industry of Watches (TRIWA), is manufacturing time keepers constructed from the metal derived from 10,000 melted guns.

“Today, Illinois took a step in the right direction to ensure people in a crisis can’t access guns,” said former Democratic Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords on Facebook.

Roughly five million Americans own AR-style semiautomatic rifles. The overwhelming majority of citizens who own and use such rifles do so for lawful purposes, including self-defense and target shooting. Under our precedents, that is all that is needed for citizens to have a right under the Second Amendment to keep such weapons.

Science News, a once respectable digest of important developments in scientific discovery, has abandoned even the pretense of neutrality or science, with a new report on firearms based solely on the nation’s leading gun-control advocates.

Size matters, but when it comes to combat-ready firearms, smaller is often better. The origin story is foundational dogma for gun nerds like us. George Sullivan incorporated the ArmaLite Corporation in 1954 as a tiny little subsidiary of the Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation. At any rate, I like the 19X so much that I bought the one that came in for review. And this week, I finally got around to the add-ons and mods I prefer.

One of the biggest problems with these bubble levels mounted on the scopes or rifles was that you had to take your eyes off of the reticle to actually refocus on the bubble to see what the level indicated. The Send iT electronic level from Long Range Arms corrects that problem by using lighted LEDs to indicate when the gun is level.
