At SHOT Show 2024, Warne, known for their exceptional scope mounts and rings, introduced the latest addition to their lineup – the Skyline Lite Bipod. The Skyline Lite is an incredibly sturdy and versatile bipod for its price.

Accu-Tac has made a “concept car” in a bipod. This as-yet-unnamed bipod includes all the features Accu-Tac builds into their quality bipods, and adds something a little over the top.

If you’re a hunter, the SnipePod can be a crucial piece of gear. It gives you a stable yet flexible base to take sitting shots over brush and grass, and it significantly less than any other sitting bipod on the market (and less than many prone bipods as well). For $145, that’s not a bad deal.

The MDT Gen 2 CKYE-POD bipod is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of bipods. There is literally not a bipod that is more versatile or that has more useful adjustments than the CKYE-POD.

The Stalker QD proved to be a nice piece of light-weight hunting gear that went on at a moment’s notice to provide the stability I needed for a good, ethical shot.

I can hear “It’s the most wonderful time of year …” playing on repeat in the back of my mind as I scan through magazines and online stores while I start piecing together my Christmas wish list. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found that it gets harder and harder to not only buy gifts for the ones I know and love but also create a Christmas list for me to give to them.   I mean I usually have to create a roadmap to the things that I like complete with links, pictures, and very specific instructions about color options and features, which pretty much sucks the fun out right out of it.

Bipods are probably the most underutilized piece of helpful shooting gear, a tool that should be in your toolbox. But like all tools, you need to pick the appropriate one for the job. Normal size bipods, 6 to 10 inches, cover a lot of gaps. But sometimes, you are forced into a less than ideal shooting position, and for that you need something else. Fortunately, that tool now exists.

As far as tools go for your rifle, a bipod is very important. If you have never used one, it is an absolute game changer. Yes, I realize lots of animals got shot before we had them. Lots of animals were harvested using an atlatl as well, but I don’t see them often on store shelves.
