In a recent conversation, Drew from FosTech, Inc. provided insights into their latest creation – a drum magazine designed for the 50-caliber Barrett M107 and 82A1.

Over the course of the next five years, the Army will purchase 2,800 MK22 sniper rifle systems to the tune of $49.9 million.

Barrett is working full-time to supply the military with REC7 rifles and after that the company will begin selling them on the commercial market.

Barrett Firearms, showed up in force at the 2020 SHOT show with the MK22 MRAD Sniper System on the firing line for Industry Day at the Range. The MRAD sniper system, is a 3-barrel set, somewhat like a sporting clays shotgun, except these barrels are in 7.62, 300 Noma Magnum and 338 Norma Magnum.

I am not a shotgun connoisseur; that wasn’t really the style in my neighborhood unless we count very illegally sawed off versions. But the Barrett Sovereign shotgun I saw was staggeringly beautiful. Barrett is one of America’s truly great weapons designers, and the new 240 LWS from the company took the cake for change this year. The 240 family of weapons has been in service with the US military since the late 70s, and it was due for an overhaul. Barrett delivered one of those in spades with its new 240LWS.
